I was horrible at jumping hurdles. They also had the Powerglove, but I didn't really fancy it too much. I bought a wireless zapper at <i>Children's Palace</i> for five bucks right before they went out of business. It was pretty cool. I could sit on my top-bunk and pick off ducks and flying discs. Did you know that you could control the ducks with the second controller? I also had a controller with a turbo switch. It was great for <i>Contra</i>! No Wait! It was fun. You could make Sonic run straight through the scenery, replace him with a garbled block of digital hash... and that was about it. Most of the time we wound up crashing the game. I had to do that as well. The trick I learned was to "erase" all the deposits from the contacts and then you were good to go for a while. The Sega Genesis had the same issue and I used the same solution. BTW, just found the site form PickAFig. Finally Tech and Catholic in one spot. Nice. Oh my word, blowing on the cartridges.
