We’ve just improved the textarea input when replying to a note. It allows the box to expand as you type if you are typing a longer reply.

Also, it puts a 500 character limit on a reply to encourage users to be concise in their responses.

We’ve added a “My Replies” tab. Would love to know what people think. It gives the user a better idea of what the latest conversation has been in the feeds they are subscribed to.

Also, will be working on personal messages soon. We’ve had a number of users ask for this.

That is pretty sweet. I can see this being used by my priests. Most of them are on Facebook and Twitter so it shouldn’t be much of a change. Seems pretty good so far even though it’s just starting out.

FlockNote is still in the early stages of beta so some of the features may be either disabled or a bit buggy at this time. If you come across any of these bugs, go ahead and contact flockNote so they can fix the problem.

Also, if you have any suggestions on how to improve flockNote, now would be a good time to let them know your ideas.

Still playing with it, but it seems a bit buggy to me – the tool for creating a widget for my site did not work for me. I think the potential is great, but am contemplating how I could ever get my pastor interested in it… I think that as parish webmaster, I may try to test it on our parish site. Will also mention it in my podcast this week. Thanks for the heads up!

Flocknote is awesome! The power of the website is that it aligns perfectly with the structure of the Catholic Church – so bishops can easily send notes to every single person in their diocese, pastors can communicate to everyone in their parish, and so on!

Great tool for Catholic churches to keep parishioners updated on the happenings in the parish. Start a local flockNote prayer group or enhance an existing prayer group using flockNote. Subscribe to your local diocese’s feed (for when they get around to seeing the potential of flockNote).
