“A cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind.”

Today, January 12th, 2009, is National Clean Up Your Desk Area Day (at least that is what the dude on the radio said).

Get Virtually Organized!

We can apply this to not only our physical desk area, but our virtual area as well…

Ways to get organized on your computer:

  • Clean Up Your Computer Desktop! (tutorial)
  • When was the last time you defragged your hard drive?
  • Go through your social network “friends” and “followers” and remove any that might be — how do I put this — not really a friend. Too often I get notified that a corporate identity is following me or that I’m being stalked by some creepy person (relax, it isn’t you : ).
  • Skim through the comments that you have received from your “friends” and delete any that have become irrelevant.
  • Is your e-mail box filling up? Start deleting old messages and sort the keepers in specific folders. Once you have organized your messages, maybe you should apply filters for future e-mails to be automatically placed in these folders.
  • Take a breath and then try to think of some other ways you can GET VIRTUALLY ORGANIZED!

Feel free to leave feedback : )
