TweetChannel and Hash Tags
TweetChannel is an easy way to using hash tags on Twitter. You can create channels or contribute to channels that have already been created. I noticed that a lot of Catholics use the hash tag #Catholic, however there was no channel created for this, so I created one. Another channel that I created was the #Prayer channel. Feel free to tweet to either of these!
Stay-tuned, because instead of doing a Favorite Five Friday this week, I have decided to post my top 5 links about Twitter API (and creating Twitter Apps)

So they are posted to both the Catholic Twitter Group & Catholic TweetChannel?
I’m sorry. I guess I was a bit vague. Basically, you can post to the TwitterChannel without using the #hashtag and it will post your tweet to Twitter (and to the Twitter Channel) Or, if you post to Twitter and start your tweet with the #hashtag then it will also be picked up by that corresponding channel. Does this make sense?
Example 1: Let’s say that you are posting some news about the Pope and you would like it to appear on the TweetChannel then you would use the hash tag #catholic at the start of your tweet. Or you can tweet directly from within the Catholic TweetChannel.
Example 2: Let’s say that you have a prayer request (and you don’t feel like using Kindle) You could simply use the #prayer hash tag at the beginning of your tweet. Or you could post your prayer directly from the Prayer TweetChannel.
So, you don’t necessarily have to go to TweetChannel.com at all to post to a particular channel. If you are posting from Twitter then you would use the appropriate #hashtag, but If you are posting from TweetChannel.com then you do not have to use the #hashtags.
Thanks!
